Eisner Awards Nominierungen 2023 bekanntgegeben
Comic Con International hat die Nominierungen für die ‚Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards‘ 2023 veröffentlicht. Die nominieren Titel stellen die Highlights der Comic Industrie des letzten Jahres dar.
Image Comics darf sich dabei über 20 Nominierungen freuen (mit 6 weiteren, die mit anderen Verlagen geteilt werden.) Zweiter Platz mit 11 Nominierungen ist DC Comics (mit weiteren 5 geteilten.)
Die Englische Autorin/Zeichnerin Zoe Thorogood ist die meist Nominierte Comic-Schaffende für ihre Arbeiten an ihrer Autobiografischen Graphic Novel ‚It’s Lonely at the Centre of the Earth‘ und der Comic Adaption von Joe Hill’s ‚Rain‘.
Auto Tom King kann vier Nominierungen für DC und Image Titel vorweisen.
Ausserdem wurde der im letzten Jahr verstorbene Kevin Conroy für seine Biografische Geschichte „Finding Batman“ (in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Künstler J. Bone) mit einer Nominierung gewürdigt.
Die Jury der 2023 Eisner Awards besteht aus der Bibliothekarin Moni Barrette, Erzieher und Sammler Peter Jones, Händlerin Jen King, Journalist Sean Kleefeld, Comic-Schaffende und Experte A. David Lewis und Comic Kurator TJ Shevlin.
Die Preisverleihung wird am 21. Juli auf der Comic Con International in San Diego stattfinden.
